Belle’s story started on the busy streets of Houston, where she was found running down I-45 before a kind stranger brought her to safety. Since then, she’s been decompressing and learning that life can be calm, safe, and full of love. Belle is a gentle, shy girl who takes a little time to warm up—but once she does, she forms a deep bond with her person and becomes a true “shadow dog.” She loves to stay close and will quietly follow you from room to room, happiest just being near you. She is dog-friendly and would do best with calm, well-mannered dogs who respect her space and help her build confidence. Because of her shy nature, a quieter home and a patient adopter will help her truly thrive.
