There are many wonderful things we can say about her (smart, vigilant, loving, affectionate, and playful). Her primary purpose (from her point of view) is to love and protect you. This girl as amazing as she is, is not for everyone. Sharifah is HIGHLY INTELLIGENT, and at the same time a bit insecure. For this reason, her optimal match is with someone with leadership presence, as this gives her the confidence to feel safe & secure. She would actually find relief in following your consistent lead. She is best with someone who can take the lead, and give her instruction. She seems to appreciate being told what she can and cannot do. She bonds once she knows she is safe, is eager to connect with the person she is with, and is very appreciative of those she accepts. HOWEVER, she must know you are capable and equipped to lead (and protect her). This girl is loyal as loyal gets! She will certainly have your back, and knowing you have hers, will bring out the absolute best version of her. Miss Sharifah thrives in a structured and secured environment, and she also values a loving and engaging connection. We would love to have her in a home with at least 2 adults, and if she could have a defined community of people she could regularly interact with, would be even more ideal. Additionally, someone willing to expand her comfort zone/circle would be icing on the cake (however not required at all, as she would be completely fulfilled just having her own intimate circle of friends). Sharifah right now is not fond of strangers in her home (even if they are out of sight). What she is fond of though, is hanging out with you inside and outside. She enjoys playing ball, and is at peace just sniffing and wandering around the yard. Going out on nice quiet walks is also something she appreciates and would enjoy regularly. Sharifah has had some formal training and occasionally goes to doggy daycare. Continual training even at home is recommended. She must have someone she can feel safe with, and respect. Without a doubt, Miss Sharifah is sweet, affectionate, smart, and very capable of being the best pup ever. At the same time, it is critical she have the right people in her life and in her world (someone who is committed to setting her up for success).
