Dog's Name: Pup Fig (FIG0226ALAMD) Estimated Breed: Aussie / Hound / Pit mix Approximate Age: 5 months Approximate Weight: 20 lbs Currently Living at: Foster Adoption Fee: $500 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Babe Fig Part of the adorable Fruity Litter (Newton, Fig), this precious little nugget is as sweet as his name! These pups appear to be Hound / Pit mixes — a true Heinz 57 blend — which just means 100% unique and 1,000% lovable. Their mama weighs around 50 pounds, so Fig is expected to grow into a wonderful medium-sized companion. Fig's story started in a place no puppy should ever be — a crowded shelter in Alabama. Thankfully, he and his siblings were rescued by K-9 Lifesavers and given the fresh start they so deserve. Now safe in a loving foster home, Fig is soaking up the good life while he waits patiently for his forever person (or people!). This handsome boy is everything you'd hope for in a puppy — sweet, playful, curious, and full of love. He's at that perfect age for training and socialization, ready to learn all the things that will help him grow into an amazing lifelong companion. Whether it's playtime in the yard, neighborhood walks, puppy classes, or snuggles on the couch, Fig is ready to be your little sidekick. If you've been thinking about adding a puppy to your home, look no further than Babe Fig. He's ready to trade shelter days for forever love. Submit an application today and give this very deserving boy the home of his dreams! Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
