About Roxie
Roxie has made impressive progress from her early shy days and is steadily building up her confidence. Crowds and loud voices can make her uneasy and she’s not afraid to let you know with a bark, but she’s mostly calm and increasingly trusting with people. She comes alive on walks, exploring every scent the woods have to offer, so she’ll need someone able to keep up and stay alert—especially when squirrels, bunnies, or birds cross her path. Indoors, Roxie entertains herself with toys, naps on the couch, or enjoys a cozy crate retreat. She’s learning to coexist with cats and does best with slow introductions and dog-savvy felines; the temptation is still there, but she’s improving. Around dogs, she’s neutral, sometimes a bit reactive if overstimulated, but generally starts relationships at her own pace. Separation anxiety still crops up now and then, but it’s less frequent these days. Roxie is a sensitive, unique girl looking for a patient and understanding home—someone steady who appreciates a quirky, loyal companion becoming more herself each day. She is house trained but will need a refresher as she adjusts to her new place. Roxie is spayed and up to date on vaccinations.
