How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet this female terrier mix who is starting to find her footing. She arrived very shy and fearful but has begun to warm up with time and patience. She will allow some gentle handling and petting, though she can still be a bit avoidant and benefits from being able to move at her own pace. She will need training to learn how to walk comfortably on a leash, using plenty of positive reinforcement and treats to build confidence. A home with another social, well-adjusted dog could be especially helpful in showing her the ropes and encouraging her to feel more secure. She would do best with older children who can read canine body language and understand when to respect her space.
