How Brooks arrived: Brooks was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on December 30, 2025. Why Brooks is the one for you:Meet Brooks, a gentle and sensitive soul looking for a patient family to help her discover the comforts of a home. She is a quiet observer who finds great security in the company of other dogs and is often found relaxing on her bed with her kennel mates. While she can be a bit shy around new people, she is a sweet girl who is slowly learning to trust, offering curious looks and occasionally venturing out to explore when she feels brave. Brooks is a resilient girl who will benefit from a little extra TLC to help her feel her best. She has a cloudiness in her eyes that doesn't seem to affect her vision, and she will be much more comfortable with a dental cleaning and a regular flea preventative to keep her skin healthy. Because she is a bit of a wallflower, she currently prefers to avoid direct touch and is still learning the ropes of walking on a leash, so she would thrive in a peaceful, low-traffic environment. The key to Brooks' heart is understanding. She is a very cooperative girl who takes her treats and medications without any fuss and enjoys a mix of dry and wet food. While she may take a little longer to settle in than some, the reward of earning her trust is truly special.
