She is a sweet, sweet little lady who is making sense of all the big changes in her life right now, including losing her home and finding herself in a shelter environment. She can be a bit shy at first, but once she realizes she’s safe, her gentle, affectionate personality shines through quickly and she warms up beautifully to her people. Deb came to us from a shelter in New Mexico after her owner sadly passed away. She was surrendered alongside about 8 other dogs she had been living with. Given the circumstances and the condition of the group, it’s likely Deb previously came from a situation more like an unregulated breeding environment. The good news is that she is now safely out of that life and getting the chance to start fresh. Deb also does wonderfully with other dogs and seems to take comfort and confidence from their presence. With a patient, loving home, she is going to blossom into an incredibly devoted little companion. Deb is up to date on her vaccinations, has been fully vetted, is healthy, heartworm negative, and is spayed (no more puppies for this girl!). Farfel's Rescue is a fully foster based rescue, and offers a one week trial with every adoption. We feel that this is much more beneficial to not only the dog, but the adopter too. We believe that only getting 20-30 minutes with a dog before deciding on a lifetime commitment is not a fair amount of time to the adopter, or the dog. Therefore we give adopters one week with the dog to assure it is the right fit, and offer a full refund of their adoption fee should it not workout within the week trial.
