About Clifford

Clifford is the ultimate loyal companion—playful, outgoing, and about as devoted as they come. This 15-pound, scruffy Westie/Shih Tzu mix is a bundle of energy, always ready for a toy or a game of fetch. While the vet estimates he's around 5, Clifford's lively, puppy-like spirit suggests he's younger. He came to Boulder from New Mexico and settled into foster care like he's always belonged. You won't miss his fun personality. Clifford loves meeting new people and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. At first, he might bark at shadows, but it just takes a sniff of your hand for him to turn into a wiggly, happy friend. He never acts timid—strangers become pals in no time. Toys are his favorite thing, and he entertains himself if you’re busy. Inside, he's fully potty trained; after a quick adjustment, he found his routine. Though Clifford has cataracts and limited vision, he navigates his world easily, never bumping into things or slowing down. He hears just fine, especially squeaky toys, so you won’t have to speak up for his attention. His ideal home would be with active retirees, or someone who works from home and wants a cheerful, loving sidekick throughout the day. He’d love older kids, but might get anxious in a busy house with little ones. Clifford is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and waiting for someone to appreciate his resilience, warmth, and playful charm. Your new best friend is just one click away.
