About Ann

Ann is a quiet soul who takes her time to warm up, but once she trusts you, she sticks close and adores being part of the family. Raised gently alongside her siblings by a caring woman, Ann entered foster care at 17 months with little experience outside her original home. At first, she was frozen with uncertainty, going days without eating or moving. Gradually, Ann grew braver—she learned routines, mingled with the household, and now seeks out attention when she feels safe, especially on the couch or bed. She’s hesitant but people-friendly, happiest observing from the sidelines before deciding to join in. Ann does well with adult visitors, and though she was initially fearful with other dogs, she’s now comfortable sleeping among her foster’s pack and continues to meet new canine friends without trouble. She’s crate trained, fully house trained, and handles leash walks with reasonable confidence. Her eyes are deep and soulful, and she has a gentle loyalty that shines brightest in quiet, patient company. Because she hasn’t been around children, Ann needs a home with adults or older teens (16+). Her ideal spot is calm, but she adjusts surprisingly well to a bit of chaos or background noise. If you want a sensitive, steadfast companion, Ann is a dog who will give back twice the love she receives. She is fostered in Colorado Springs. Your new best friend is just one click away.
