Hi there, my name is Jack, I am a 7-year-old jack Russell mix that was originally surrendered to the shelter in mid-March when my family could no longer care for me. I was adopted very quickly and then returned after me and the cats in my new home did not mix. I have lived with cats in my original home with no issues but chased my newest cat family members so it will likely be best I am adopted into a home either no cats or very confident cats. I am considered a small sized dog by structure, but I am very overweight and need to lose at least 5 pounds so I can live a long happy life without constant pain from extra weight on my small joints. Both my previous homes did state that I am potty and crate trained and that I've lived with dogs, kids, and cats (with the last home having not worked out very well with the cats).
