Bruno isn’t the dog who commands everyone’s attention at first glance. He sticks to the background, watchful and a bit hesitant, quietly hoping someone will notice the good dog underneath those nerves. At seven months old and around 30 lbs, Bruno is still sorting out what’s safe and what’s not in the world. Big new experiences can overwhelm him, but his gentle, earnest nature is always there if you look. He craves reassurance and patience while he learns to be brave in a noisy world. Bruno is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, housebroken, and crate trained—the crate is truly his retreat when things get overwhelming. He does well with children, dogs, and cats, so he’d slot in with a variety of families. Leash skills and confidence are a work in progress, but he learns fast with positive reinforcement. Excitement or anxiety might make him jump, but he’s figuring things out bit by bit. The real Bruno starts to shine as he settles in: the happy tail, the soft look in his eyes, the charming, goofy side that emerges when he feels safe. He’s not broken.
