Meet...Maggie! Maggie is only 3 years old, but has been through a lot in those short 3 years. Her past is written on her skin: neglect, abuse, and not a single care in the world for her well-being. Maggie had been suffering through life, hopeless and downtrodden until now! Her skin issues are being tended to, and her emotional trauma is slowly being reversed. Though our staff has been paying special attention to her, Maggie is still very afraid of the world. She is afraid to take treats, afraid to make eye contact, and afraid to even face a stranger, but after a bit of quiet interaction, she starts to soften. She walks quietly on leash, potties outside, and pays no mind to our office cats. We are confident that one day, with a lot of TLC, Maggie will be a shiny, happy, and loyal companion. But that day can't come without someone dedicated to her and her recovery! Maggie is looking for a quiet home where she can learn to accept the love she deserves. She is a gentle, intelligent soul in desperate need of a soft landing of her own where she can truly shine!
