About Kora
Kora arrived in pretty rough shape, recovering from multiple breaks in her hips and pelvis that looked like the aftermath of a car accident. The good news is, she healed up without surgery and her vets are confident she won’t need ongoing special treatment, aside from possible arthritis as she gets older. She didn’t let her injuries sideline her spirit—Kora quickly bonded with staff and volunteers, showing off her sassy, affectionate side. She has a knack for entertaining herself, tossing her toys and catching them midair, but also lights up for yard time and walks. She’s content both with a buddy by her side and solo adventures. Kora even coexists with the resident office cat, though she’s got more typical herding dog opinions about feral cats she sees outdoors. Big on cuddles, Kora sometimes shows protective behaviors with her favorites, likely a mix of adjustment stress and healing pains. That might crop up in a new home, so adopters should be ready to work with her if needed. She tends to have some big feelings about other dogs and might prefer being an only dog, but really wants space to run. Already spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and house trained, Kora is about 1.5 years old and weighs around 45 pounds, ready for her next chapter. Ready to fall in love?
