About Lilly

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Lilly's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Lilly a 5-year-old Boxer mix, weighing 45 pounds (as of 4/9/26). This lovely lady was previously a stray, but now that she's found some loving, she wants to make it permanent. She hopes you'll be her fur-ever home! Lilly is an energetic girl who enjoys playing with her fellow dogs and making friends with complete strangers. She's the perfect companion if you're too awkward to ask your boss for a promotion because Lilly will use her sweet eyes to ask for you! You might as well get celebratory drinks ready now! Lilly is leash trained, crate trained and sits on command. She hasn't had accidents at her foster's, so we presume she's house trained as well, but she asks that you have patience when she adjusts to your home. Did we mention Lilly also loves car rides? Perhaps a road trip is in your immediate future? She's a fun-loving lady who is friendly with people and if she sees them approaching your home, she'll bark "hello, friend!" and quickly greet them at your door. She loves kids and isn't annoyed when they ask her a lot of questions (unlike you). Lilly will chase deer if she sees them, so we strongly recommend a home that has a fenced yard. She hasn't been exposed to cats, but Lilly might be fine with that. Medical Disclosure: Because of her rough start in the streets, she had a hole between her middle incisors on her mandible. There was hair entrapped and an infection. The 2 middle incisors were removed and she was prescribed Clindamycin. We're happy to report that everything healed fine. Go Lilly! What are you waiting for? Bring this confident beauty home today! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Lilly, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
