About Sadie

This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Roughly 90% of our dogs are successfully long distance adopted and 10% adopted locally. **Please read Sadie's entire profile, which includes a link to the adoption application at the end. Thank you!** Meet Sadie, a 1.5-year-old Boxer mix, weighing 55 pounds (as of 3/21/26). This southern belle hails from Tennessee and was surrendered by her owner with her 7 puppies. Sadie says no hard feelings! She knows she's destined for that posh New England lifestyle and she can't wait to get it! Sadie was very under socialized at her previous home, so she is on the shy side, but her foster says she is really coming out of her shell. In fact, Sadie recently switched to sleeping on the bed at her foster's home! She put her paw on the bed asking for permission, her foster picked her up on the bed, and once she was up there, she slept (and snored) all night with her head resting on her foster mom. Can Sadie be anymore precious? We think not! When it comes to potty, Sadie is still in training, but has been doing well with regular trips outside. She just asks her future family to have patience with her as she adjusts to your home. Sadie's looking forward to showing you more of her personality like happily running by your side when you're on a hike or giving you advice on how to improve your hygiene. First advice: Please shower after you work out. She does well with other dogs, is great on a leash and is also great with crates. She doesn't have experience with cats or children yet, but she's a friendly girl who hopes to charm them too! Sadie has been the best mom to her pups and always watched them closely. Now it's her turn to be taken care of! And we're not just talking once a year like how you forget Mother's Day. Everyday should be Sadie's Day 'cause this girl deserves it. Sadie has so much love to give and is a very affectionate and willing gal! All dogs are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered at the time of adoption. All dogs require professional training to become the best family member they can be. To adopt or learn more about Sadie, you must fill out an adoption application. To find the application, copy and paste this URL into your browser: WWW.GDRNE.COM/ADOPTION-APPLICATION [Adoption Fee: $495] ** PLEASE READ: If a dog is listed, then s/he is currently available for adoption. Their information is correct to the best of our abilities and the information we have been given as of the day of posting. From time to time we receive new information/photos of a dog and we do recreate their listing, which means their old listing link will no longer be valid. If you are considering a dog but don't apply right away please make sure to search for the dog by name if the link you have no longer works. Please note, GDRNE does not guarantee the breed of any dog or puppy unless stated that we have run DNA. All breeds listed are educated estimates. Note that if the dog is listed as an "Out of town pet" there are NOT additional transport fees - it is included in our adoption fee Our dogs are rescued from various situations. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application. Great Dog is not a shelter so there is no building you can visit. Our dogs live in private foster homes until adopted. To learn more about our *shelterless* rescue, adoption fees, and procedures, review the list of Frequently Asked Questions on our website at WWW.GDRNE.COM.
