He’s equal parts curious investigator, playful sidekick, and loyal little shadow — always ready to see what’s happening and make himself part of the action. If there’s something going on in the house, you can bet Mastermind will be right there, supervising with enthusiasm and a touch of sass. A Day in the Life of Mastermind Mastermind is wonderfully adaptable and goes with the flow of the household. He wakes up when everyone else does and happily follows the resident dogs outside for a morning potty break. After that, he takes his role as Morning Assistant very seriously — observing tooth brushing, helping with getting dressed (by stealing socks, of course), and especially participating in breakfast preparations. His signature move? Standing on his back legs like a tiny dancing circus bear while following his people around the kitchen. It’s impossible not to laugh. Once the family heads out for the day, Mastermind enjoys some backyard playtime with the other dogs or a toy or two. After that, he settles into his favorite daytime job: Office Companion. He’ll happily park himself right on top of your feet under the desk, quietly keeping you company while you work and waiting to see what adventure might come next. He’s more of a grazer than a scheduled diner, preferring several small nibbles throughout the day rather than strict meal times. In the evenings and on weekends, he’s all about family time — joining in whatever fun is happening and soaking up the attention. At night, he sleeps peacefully in his kennel next to the other dogs without a peep. Personality: Curious, Cuddly, and Just the Right Amount of Sassy Mastermind settled in quickly when he arrived, though he did insist on conducting a very thorough inspection of every nook and cranny of the house and yard before fully relaxing. At first, he wasn’t quite sure what to make of the resident dogs’ invitations to play, but now he happily joins the fun — chasing and being chased with gusto. He absolutely loves to cuddle and be close to his people, but he’s not clingy. He enjoys companionship and likes to keep an eye on what you’re doing, yet he’s perfectly content to entertain himself with a toy or bone when the moment calls for it. Think of him as a cheerful little sidekick who wants to be part of the story, not the center of attention every second. Social Skills Mastermind gets along beautifully with other dogs of different sizes. In fact, he accomplished something remarkable — he convinced the household terrier (who had never shown interest in playing with other dogs before) to join in the fun. He’s also comfortable around teenagers and enjoys their company. He can happily live with or without another dog, as long as he has people who appreciate his lively personality and playful spirit. Play Style and Energy Level Mastermind is a delightful mix of playful and relaxed. He enjoys a good game of fetch and loves romping around the yard, but he’s just as happy to lounge and observe the world. Walking and Training He’s only been on a few walks so far, but he’s already showing great manners. He walks nicely on leash without pulling and hasn’t shown interest in chasing birds or squirrels. House Manners Mastermind quickly figured out the routine and has had no accidents after the first couple days. He uses the doggy door confidently and has been left home for several hours at a time without issues. He may occasionally test a chair leg or two with his teeth, but it’s usually a polite request for attention — and he stops as soon as he’s acknowledged. Like many Pomeranian mixes, he does have opinions and isn’t shy about sharing them. He may offer a few happy barks when visitors arrive or join in when the household husky starts chatting, but he responds well to redirection. The Kind of Home That Will Love Him Most Mastermind will thrive in a home that enjoys a cheerful, curious companion who likes to be involved in daily life. He doesn’t require a rigid schedule and adapts easily to different routines. Most of all, he’ll shine with people who appreciate his playful personality, sense of humor, and affectionate nature. What Makes Mastermind Truly Special Beyond his adorable looks and prancy walk, Mastermind has a big personality packed into a fluffy package. He’s nosy in the most charming way, eager to know what everyone is doing, and always ready to participate. Be prepared to get stopped wherever you go — people simply can’t resist him, and he soaks up the attention like a pro. Favorite Story: The Great Pool Adventure In true Mastermind fashion, curiosity once got the better of him while someone was cleaning the pool. After excitedly running laps around the edge, he suddenly launched himself straight into the deep end — no hesitation, no regrets. The pool wasn’t heated, but that didn’t slow him down one bit. After paddling around and being rescued, he tore around the yard in a burst of soaked, high-speed zoomies before engaging in an epic tug-of-war with the towel meant to dry him off. And when the blow dryer came out? He stood there like a celebrity at a spa, soaking up the attention and preening like the star he is. Mastermind is a fun, funny, affectionate little character who brings laughter, companionship, and a touch of mischief wherever he goes.
