4/1 Rescue Plea – 8-Year-Old Male Pomeranian in Need This sweet 8-year-old intact male Pomeranian is looking for a rescue commitment so he can receive the medical care he urgently needs and finally get a chance at a comfortable life. Very gentle temperament. Medical Summary: Body Condition: Appears noticeable muscle wasting, especially in the hind limbs Neurologic Concerns: Ataxic (wobbly) gait with hind limb weakness and swaying Delayed proprioception in rear legs Circling intermittently to the left Findings suggest possible spinal disease (T3–L3) such as IVDD, or less likely neurologic/brain involvement Musculoskeletal Issues: Moderate kyphosis (spinal curvature) Thickened stifles with crepitus ? concern for arthritis and/ or patellar luxation Dermatologic Issues:Significant hair loss on caudal body and hind limbs Mild flea debris noted Dental Disease: Moderate periodontitis He Needs: This boy requires a committed rescue to provide: Neuter surgery Dental cleaning and treatment Bloodwork Spinal and orthopedic radiographs Ongoing diagnostics to determine cause of neurologic signs Pain management and supportive car e He has already started on gabapentin for comfort. His gentle temperament makes him an excellent candidate for treatment and recovery in a rescue setting. With proper diagnostics and support, many of his conditions may be manageable/ stable, allowing him to enjoy a better quality of life. Please consider stepping up for him.
