About Samhain
Samhain, named after the Gaelic harvest festival, arrived after a journey from Tennessee and quickly wobbled his way into everyone’s affections. He has Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH), which means his balance is off but his determination never is. CH doesn’t get worse over time and isn’t something other cats can catch—he just moves through life with his own brand of bouncy steps. Don’t let his unsteady gait fool you—Samhain is an explorer at heart. He’s curious and persistent, always keen to chase after you or discover something new, though his route might involve a few hops or tumbles along the way. His CH is on the severe side, and sometimes his bold moves result in minor mishaps, like occasional eye injuries. He’s still working on litter box routines and will need a patient adopter to help guide him, especially as he gets the hang of using it, particularly for #1. For now, he knows where #2 goes and he’s making steady progress. Samhain gets along well with other cats and children, making him a sweet, social addition to the right home. He’s in foster care for now, and visits will be arranged by application. Give him a steady hand and you’ll find a loyal adventure buddy with a purr that won’t quit. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
