Leroy and Charlie, 3 years old, lab mixes, McHenry IL Leroy (the cream-colored cuddle bug, 85 lbs) and Charlie (the handsome tan teddy bear, 106 lbs) are 3-year-old Lab and foster thinks Great Pyrenees mix brothers with hearts as big as their paws. These bonded boys have been through a big life change after losing their home due to an unforeseen family event—and while they’ve lost a lot, we’re determined they won’t lose each other too. These gentle giants are the definition of sweet souls. They have calm, loving temperaments and an eagerness to please that makes them absolute joys to be around. They’re smart cookies too—completely housebroken and already know their basics like sit, lay, and stay. They adore people of all ages and have charmed everyone they’ve met - from little kids to vets to pet store staff. Because they previously lived in a rural setting, leash walking is still a work in progress. Charlie especially is a strong boy when excited, so they’ll need someone patient and willing to continue their training. The good news? They’re incredibly smart, love attention, and thrive on positive reinforcement—so with a little consistency, they’ll get there in no time! At the end of the day, Leroy and Charlie are simply easy to love—because they love you right back, fully and freely. Leroy will even return your kisses every time you smooch his nose.
