About Gaston In Va
Meet Gaston - a tall, handsome, happy-go-lucky Great Pyrenees who is ready to zoom his way right into your heart! Gaston cuts a striking figure with his beautiful long, medium-soft white coat and an irresistibly cheerful expression that seems to say, "Hi there! Isn't today just the BEST day?!" Gaston's story is one of true resilience. He came to us from a cruelty case in Henry County, VA - his owner was conducting a cock fighting ring on his property and had multiple animals in very bad condition. When Gaston first arrived to rescue, he was heartbreakingly thin - but with love, care, and good food, this big boy has blossomed into the joyful, thriving fellow he was always meant to be! And joyful he absolutely is! When Gaston heads outside, watch out - the zoomies are REAL. He loves to race back and forth, bounce up to greet his canine neighbors, and make it crystal clear to everyone within eyeshot that he is ready to PLAY. Once he's burned off that happy energy, though, he's perfectly content to settle down and enjoy a lazy afternoon soaking up the day. He's also a fantastic road trip co-pilot - he loves car rides and has been known to cheerfully appoint himself front-seat navigator. Gaston is leash trained and does well on walks. He needs space to stretch those long legs and let his inner zoomie run free, which means he’d love a 6-foot fenced yard. He can thrive as a solo dog or alongside other dogs, and does well with older, sturdy kids who can match his enthusiastic, bouncy energy. If you're looking for a big, beautiful, fun-loving companion with a wonderful comeback story, Gaston just might be your guy.
