1. What is your name? Hi! I’m Cozi! My official name is Cozette Baguette, but that’s a mouth full, so just call me Cozi. 2. How old are you? I’m probably somewhere around 4-ish years old. In the shelter, it was believed that maybe I was 5. But then my vet thought I was younger than that, so who knows! I’m the perfect age to join your family—I’ve gotten the puppy annoyingness out of the way but I’ve still got lots of life to give! 3. What do you look like? I’m a looker and I know it. I’m a short and stocky girl. I’m black with brown and white tri-color markings. My ears were cropped and I had multiple litters of puppies before I was rescued, so I also have some momma boobs that may stick around. I have some scarring from some prior skin issues, but they don’t bother me and my foster mom says I’ve healed nicely. My foster mom did a DNA test on me and I’m a 100% American Bully! 4. What do you like to eat? I love me some food. I eat a salmon and sweet potato kibble mix, but I haven’t turned up my nose at anything! Since I’ve had skin issues, my foster mom is careful about what she gives me just in case I have food allergies that exacerbate the skin problems. 5. What kind of personality do you have? I’m equal parts charming, stubborn, and adorable. My foster mom jokes that I act deaf, though I’m definitely not….we just call that “selective hearing”. I am quite the bully when it comes to demanding attention—if you’re on the couch, I expect to be able to lay under your arm or on your lap and I have no problem right splooting on top of you to demand it. 6. Describe your perfect day. My perfect day would just be with my person getting lots of love! 7. What is your favorite toy? I don’t exactly know how to play, but I try! I love running around with these things called “goughtnuts”, which are kinda big rubber toys that I can chew on. I usually destroy soft toys…I’m cute, but I’m destructive… 8. Do you know any tricks? I love this trick called “Ignoring you” where you try to get me to do something and I just ignore you. I’m super good at it. My foster mom says it’s a good thing I’m cute because other than sitting for treats, I’m not working for you unless you put me on the pay roll. 9. What scares you? I don’t know if I’m really scared of anything, but I’ll tell you what really irks me….VACCUUMS. Those noisy machines all deserve to die and if given the opportunity, I promise I’ll protect you from their evil. 10. Do you like cats and dogs? I’m not sure about cats. I’ve been great with most dogs, but I’ll admit I was a bit of a brat to my foster aunt’s mini poodle. Maybe I’m better with just bigger dogs? Or maybe I was just telling her “Hey, I’m the boss and I’m the cutest one around here, so you’ve got to scram.” 11. If you could be anywhere in the world, where would it be? Splooted directly on top of my human. If you’re into personal space, I’m probably not your girl. If you’re anti-boundaries like I am and are looking for a good weighted blanket (that occasionally snores), we’re going to get along great. 12. How is your health? I’m way better! When I first came to my foster home, I had a double ear infection, upper respiratory infection, and my skin had staph infections. I needed to be assessed for entropion, which is a condition where a dog’s eyelids curl inward and scratch the eyeballs. I needed to be spayed, but that had to be delayed because I went into heat. Fast forward to today, I’m spayed and doing great! I gained weight and the muscles on my face filled in, which helped solve the entropion issues I was having. In the future, I may need ongoing allergy meds. Since my ears are cropped, I’ll also need a human who can help make sure my ears stay clean and infection-free. Same with my eyes…I need a human to make sure they’re still okay in the future. 13. How long have you lived in your foster home? I’ve been with my foster home since December ’25. 14. Who do you live with and who’s your closest companion? I live with a mom and several dog siblings (2 females and 1 male). My closest companion is my foster mom. I’m attached to her hip and would be attached to yours too! I don’t dislike my dog siblings, but I’m not obsessed with them either. I’m pretty neutral with them! 15. Where do you hang out when you’re home alone? I stay in a crate when mom isn’t home! 16. Where do you sleep? I either sleep in a crate or on special nights, my foster mom lets me in the bed with her and the other dogs. Shhhhh….I think that’s against the rules but I told you before, I’m anti-boundaries and I love it. 17. What was life like before Even Chance rescued you? I lived with another dog and a family, but the family moved away and left me and the other dog alone in the backyard. A contractor came by to work on the house and realized we had been left behind. That nice man kept coming back to feed me. I’m very grateful to him. I was abandoned outside for 3 weeks before animal control got me. I heard they asked our family to come get us, but the family said they didn’t want us anymore. I probably had several litters of puppies before, too. I’m a VERY sweet girl..
