About Puddin
Puddin is a sweet and loving girl looking for a forever home. She is a gentle dog who loves cuddles and will come right up to you to ask for pets and affection. She is curious at heart and loves to explore and sniff her surroundings while walking at laid back pace. When she arrived at Anderson Animal Shelter from our partner shelter in Louisiana, she tested positive for Heartworm. The staff believes that the best place for Heartworm positive dogs to be while going through treatments and recovering is with a loving and forever family like yours. If you choose to adopt Puddin, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support. The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep her safe while she recovers. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after her treatment begins. The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and the staff anticipates that Puddin will fully recover! And you should know that Heartworm can only be transmitted from animal to animal by mosquitoes. If you're looking for a sweet cuddly companion who needs just a little bit of extra support feel free to stop in and meet Puddin during our adoption hours! For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you. All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.
