About Waylon

Meet Waylon—your new best friend in the making. Waylon is a sweet, lovable young dog with a gentle heart and a curious spirit. He watches the world with bright, hopeful eyes, ready to befriend both people and fellow dogs. Whether he’s exploring on a walk or curled up for cuddle time, Waylon brings a calm, happy energy into every space he enters. He’ll do best in a home that can offer love, a routine, and some room for him to keep learning and growing. Waylon is eager to please and soaks up attention, thriving with people who want a loyal companion for both daily adventures and quiet moments alike. He is house trained and gets along well with other dogs, making him a nice fit for most families looking for a gentle addition. Waylon came to Anderson Animal Shelter and, upon arrival, tested positive for Heartworm. Through treatment, the clinic team will provide ongoing support and guidance—a process generally lasting three months, with a full recovery expected. Heartworm is only transmitted by mosquitoes, so there’s no risk of him passing it to other animals at home. Currently, Waylon is in a foster home while he recovers. To learn more or arrange a meeting, reach out to the shelter directly. Waylon will go home neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and with recent preventatives. What are you waiting for?
