Meet Jessica Jessica is a beautiful 3-year-old American Pit Bull Terrier mix with a calm, easygoing personality. She's a laid-back girl who enjoys relaxing and taking life at a slower pace. One of her favorite pastimes is watching the world go by from the window-keeping an eye on squirrels in the yard and ducks on the river. Jessica is a sweet and loving companion who does well with other dogs and is great with kids, making her a wonderful fit for many families. She would do best in a home without cats. She's a perfect match for a moderately active home-she enjoys playtime like fetch or tug-of-war (especially if you're up for it!), but she equally loves her quiet time. When it's time to relax, Jessica wants to be as close to you as possible-she'll happily squeeze into your chair just to be near you. At night, she knows that "bedtime" means a biscuit and will head right into her crate like a pro. She is fully house-trained and will let you know when she needs to go out. Jessica already knows commands like sit, stay, paw, no, and down, and she's currently working on "lay down" and improving her leash skills (she can get a little excited and pull when distracted). All of our dogs and puppies go home spayed or neutered, microchipped, and heartworm tested (for dogs 7 months and older). They are also up to date on core vaccines, as well as heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Each adoption includes a 3.5-pound bag of dog or puppy food and a free vet exam at one of our participating veterinary partners.
