You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Available 4/18/26 Meet Ryan! Ryan is a tiny 3-month-old Yorkie weighing just around 2 pounds. He has the sweetest, happiest little personality and loves both people and other small dogs. He can be a bit timid when first meeting new people, but warms up quickly and will soon be snuggled up in your lap asking for attention. Ryan loves zoomies, tiny toys, cozy dog beds, and exploring a fenced yard. Due to his very small size, Ryan needs a home that understands how fragile tiny puppies can be. He does best with dogs his size (under 8–10 lbs) and should only be with gentle playmates. He requires a home with no children under 10 and would do best in a calmer environment. He is not a good fit for homes where someone may have mobility concerns, as he tends to weave around your feet. Ryan is currently working on house training and is pee pad trained when kept in a small, confined space. He may do okay in a crate, but his foster currently uses a baby gate to keep him in a smaller area. He grazes on his food, prefers a plate-style dish, and only barks briefly when he wants attention. Ryan does not like being picked up and will try to jump down, so care must be taken when handling him. He’s happiest sitting in your lap on the floor rather than being held. He is also still gaining confidence with small things like coming inside over thresholds, but continues to improve with patience. Ryan would do great in an apartment or condo setting. If a home has a fenced yard, it must be secure—he can fit through very small openings.
