She may be tiny, but her personality is full of love! Rita adores people, loves other small dogs, and is happiest when she’s getting attention—whether that’s zooming around playing or curled up in your lap. Unlike her brother, she does enjoy being held and snuggled, making her the perfect mix of playful and cuddly. Rita thrives with dogs her size and should only be around small, gentle playmates. Because of her very small size and delicate bones, she requires a home with no children under 10 . She would do best in a calm environment and is not a good fit for very active households or for someone with mobility concerns, as she loves to be right under your feet. Rita is currently working on house training and is pee pad trained when kept in a small, confined space. She may do okay in a crate, but her foster currently uses a baby gate to keep her in a smaller area. She grazes on her food, enjoys tiny toys, loves a cozy dog bed, and only barks briefly when she wants attention. Rita would be a great fit for apartment or condo living and would thrive in a gentle, attentive home that understands the needs of such a tiny puppy. If the home has a fenced yard, it must be very secure, as she can fit through small openings.
