About Lexie
Lexie (approximately 40 pounds) was transferred to the NHSPCA from a foster home in Tennessee. She was born into a family of bear hunting dogs, but our beautiful Lexie just doesn't fit in. She has zero interest in chasing bears and she dislikes loud noises, so Lexie's owner decided to try & find her a life that does not involve bears. Lexie was lucky enough to spend the last month in a Southern foster home, where she has been adapting to being a cherished indoor pet living in the home with her people rather than a hunting dog living outside in a kennel. Lexie is a charming and slightly shy young lady who enjoys meeting new people, especially if they give her snacks, talk in soft voices, and offer lots of good petting. She got along well with the human children and the other dog in her foster home, and she quickly learned her name and now comes when called. Lexie is crate trained and LOVES her crate & the sense of security it brings her. She sleeps through the night in her crate and will even take naps in it. Lexie received her very first toy while in her foster home - and she is ridiculously cute when she gets the chance to play. Come meet this lovely girl today & see if you'd like to help her continue her journey from bear hunter to beloved companion.
