Meet Isla… aka your future shadow, your couch buddy, your backyard zoomies coordinator, and your part-time sunbathing supervisor ☀️🐾 Born 6/28/25, Isla is that perfect “young but not a total gremlin” age. She’s got the playful puppy energy when it’s time to party, but she also knows how to power down, find a sunny patch of floor, and melt into a cozy nap like a pro. The good stuff (and there’s a lot of it): Isla is smart. Like… scary smart. She already knows her name, sit, down, here, kennel, and wait. She’s super food motivated and actually *wants* to work with her humans, which means she’s basically a dream dog in the making if you put a little time into her. She’s a toy enthusiast… bones, tug, chasing balls (returning them is still under negotiation 😅). She loves other dogs and would absolutely thrive with a playful dog buddy to show her the ropes and burn off energy with. She’s also crate trained, house trained, and has already learned how to exist in a home without turning it into a demolition site… which honestly deserves a round of applause 👏 Her personality in a nutshell: Happy. Wiggly. Silly. Social once she warms up. She might take a minute to size up new people or weird objects (looking at you, broom 👀), but she checks in with her humans for reassurance and then jumps right back into life. Once she’s comfortable, she’s a full-blown social butterfly. The “she’s still a baby, don’t be weird about it” section: Isla is still learning her manners, especially when it comes to play. Sometimes she forgets humans aren’t dogs and can get a little mouthy when she’s overstimulated. The good news? She’s already made huge progress and redirects easily. She just needs a family who will keep guiding her instead of expecting perfection overnight. Her dream home: – A family that understands puppies are a work in progress, not finished products – Someone home more often than not (she really loves her people) – A playful dog friend would be a huge bonus – A fenced yard or an active lifestyle to keep her body and brain busy – Kids are fine, especially with supervision and structure as she continues learning Isla is that rare combo of playful and chill, goofy and sweet, independent but still deeply connected to her people.
