About Buttons
Buttons is a lively terrier mix who’s all wiggles, spark, and oversized personality. Still very much a puppy, he thrives on attention, zoomies, and adventure—his energy is off the charts. Buttons endlessly enjoys playing fetch (sometimes he keeps the prize for himself), sprinting laps with other dogs, and soaking up every bit of affection his people can spare. He’s got a big soft spot for cuddling and will remind you he’s a lap dog, no matter his size. Crate trained, good in public, and an enthusiastic car ride companion, Buttons is progressing nicely with house training and already knows the dog door. Walks are a highlight for him, though sometimes leashes double as toys in his eyes. He really blossoms when he’s matched up with another playful dog and isn’t shy about telling you he loves you—with licks, nibbles, and plenty of joyful face kisses. Loud noises like fireworks can spook him, but he bounces back quickly with reassurance. He needs a very active home, absolutely with another playful dog, and no cats—he’ll bark at them and his energy overwhelms. If you’re within a two-hour radius of Portland, OR, and ready for a friendly, affectionate, and fun-loving companion, Buttons is eager for the next great adventure. Every animal deserves a happy ending. This one starts with you.
