About Larch

Incarceration Date: 4/3/2026 Expected Release Date: 5/15/2026 Please note, dogs in the Freedom Tails program will be in training for up to 12 weeks. During that time, it is the goal for the dog to be able to pass either the AKC K9 Good Citizen test and certification, or the Puppy S.T.A.R. certification. You may schedule a meet/greet with the dog while it is still in the program. However, we request that final adoption not be completed until after they have finished their entire training. For questions, please reach out to us via email at: timbertailsk9@gmail.com ABOUT THIS DOG: Larch is one of the boys from the "Capitol litter." Mom was found abandoned in Capitol forest, pregnant and hungry. Puppies were named after trails in the Capitol Forest where mom wandered alone. Larch started out the smallest boy, but definitely didn't stay that way. Larch has a determined spirit and isn't one to let the other dogs push him around. The fluffiest of the litter with slightly thicker hair, this sweet boy is doing to make a wonderful companion. His handler is working on his confidence so he knows that he doesn't need to worry about new experiences and that he is always safe. They are also working on leash training, house and crate training and building strong foundations to take with him into the world with his new family.
