About Kahlisi

Kahlisi, often called “Chapa,” is a small Chihuahua mix rescued out of Texas who landed herself a loving foster home in Brooklyn. She weighs about 9 lbs and at 9 years old, she’s firmly in her senior years—but don’t mistake her for a frail old girl. Her foster says that Kahlisi is cuddly and loves being around people; she’ll follow you room to room and lights up at the chance for pets or to curl up next to you. She’s happy lounging on the couch, watching TV, or enjoying quiet days at the park where she can snooze or people-watch. Her energy sits at a moderate level; she enjoys walks but doesn't need long treks. She’s perfectly content with a few casual strolls outside and is partial to short outings and fresh air. One of her endearing quirks is her habit of sucking on her blanket—oddly cute to see. New environments and guests don’t rattle her; she typically just dozes off if left alone or when things get busy. Kahlisi is house trained and crate trained. She gets along with other dogs, cats, and children, and is very social with new people. She’s best suited to a calm, apartment lifestyle with someone who wants a low-key, affectionate companion. Her new family should have plenty of time for cuddles. Kahlisi was previously treated for heartworm but is now doing well. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
