About Penny
This could be the start of something paw-some. Meet Penny! This bright, energetic firecracker is ready to find her forever family. Penny is about a year old and has a short, beautiful coat blending apricot, beige, white, cream, and shades of gray. She’s friendly and affectionate, though she may be a little timid when meeting new people—but she warms up quickly and soon reveals her playful, loving side. Penny is full of energy and adores outdoor adventures, especially when she gets to romp around with stuffed toys. House trained and eager to please, she’d benefit from some additional obedience training, continued socialization, and improvement with her leash manners. Penny does well with other dogs, so if you already have a canine companion, a meet and greet at the shelter will ensure they’re a great match! The shelter recommends a home with older children and a fenced-in yard so she can safely enjoy outdoor play. Penny has recently overcome some skin issues, is currently thriving on a sensitive diet, and is on the mend. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped—ready to make the leap into your life from Frederick County Esther L. Boyd Animal Shelter. Start your journey together! Apply now.
