Pauly Age: 1yr 7months Weight: 40lbs Sex: male, neutered Meet Pauly 🐾 Pauly is a 1-year-7-month-old, 40lb neutered male who’s mastered two things in life: making friends and getting as close to you as physically possible while doing it. He’s highly social with everyone he meets and operates with full confidence that personal space is optional. If you stop petting him too soon, he will simply lean harder until the situation is corrected. He’s spent time in 20+ playgroups and really enjoys rough-and-rowdy play with other dogs. He’s social, interactive, and enjoys being part of the action, and when things get a little too amped, he takes feedback from other dogs appropriately and resets without much fuss. He’s also very people-focused and will happily rotate between dog play and human attention like it’s a full-time schedule. Pauly is medium energy overall—he’s got a nice balance of “let’s do something fun” and “let’s just hang out.” He walks confidently in familiar areas with a bit of enthusiasm on leash, and in new environments he may pause to take things in before warming up with a little encouragement and time to explore. Once he settles, his favorite thing is simply using his nose and checking everything out at his own pace. He also LOVES water. Pools, splashing, general chaos—he’s in! Pauly is easygoing with handling, did well for his bath! He overall comes across as a sweet, social young man who just genuinely enjoys people, dogs, and being included in whatever’s going on. He came to us from a recent cruelty case, but you’d never guess it from the way he shows up in the world!
