About Lyra And Leila
Lyra and her sister Leila were discovered doing their best to survive life on the streets—two gentle souls who clearly once knew the comfort of a home. Whether they were lost or abandoned, it’s impossible to say, but one thing is certain: their sweet, trusting nature hasn’t faded. Thankfully, a compassionate Good Samaritan brought them to the safety of Animal Assistance League of Orange County, where their second chance began. Lyra is a striking gray-and-white mackerel tabby with luminous golden eyes and an adorable black button nose. Her sister Leila is equally captivating—a sleek black-and-white tuxedo beauty with golden eyes, a uniquely marked black nose with a delicate white stripe, and long white whiskers that give her an air of quiet confidence and wisdom. These two share a deep, inseparable bond. They find comfort in one another, play together, and rest side by side, just as they did while navigating the world on their own. Because of this, Lyra and Leila must be adopted together—they’re not just sisters, they’re each other’s home. Open your heart to both, and you’ll be rewarded with double the love, companionship, and quiet gratitude that only a bonded pair can give. Please submit an application to adopt Lyra and Leila at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved, we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Lyra and Leila and get to know them a bit. Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas.
