About Jojo
JoJo is a one-year-old FIV positive male who was abused by his only owner who got him as a kitten and kept him outdoors in a small wire crate until he was rescued. Despite his past, he desperately wants to be in a home where he can play and get the love he deserves. Jojo is very affectionate with volunteers at AALOC and wants to snuggle up in your lap! FIV is a lentivirus, a slow-progressing virus that can compromise a catβs immune system, reducing its ability to fight off illnesses. The virus has a long latent period then progresses so slowly that it may never affect a cat. FIV is not transferrable to humans or other non-feline pets. Jojo can live a long life with the proper care, but we recommend an adult-only home without any other pets. Please apply to adopt Jojo at www.AALOC.org. Once your application is reviewed and approved we will contact you to make an appointment to visit us at AALOC to meet Jojo and get to know him a bit. Adoption donation includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, and a microchip. Applications require a veterinary reference and home visit. We adopt to residents of Orange County, CA and surrounding areas. Please note: For families with children, we require children to be 10 years of age or older, although exceptions are made depending on the circumstances. For more information on our adoption policies visit our website at www.AALOC.org or contact us by e-mail at aaloc@aaloc.org.
