Glochid was found in October of 2024 in a very unsafe location where there were lots of predators. The fact that she survived was amazing. She was in foster for quite a while working on socialization. It wasn't until 2026 that we started to see some positive changes in her. She's still not ready to be a lap cat but she doesn't run anymore and she likes to watch humans interact with the other cats. We know eventually she'll let her guard down and realize that she's safe. Until she does, the more people who meet her and talk to her, the better. Medical note: She's had on and off ocular discharge since arriving. We do not find any underlying reason why so it's assumed that it's due to being around the number of cats in the shelter. In a home, this would likely resolve.
