Jackson will remain in the <strong>Recovery Room</strong> until cleared for adoption. He just arrived and is being evaluated for hind end lameness. He is clearly uncomfortale when he walks and avoids stairs. Jackson has seen the neurologist and next will have an orthopecic evaluation. Stay tuned for more on Jackson after we get him fully evaluated. He is currently on "bed rest "/ minimal activity and pain medications. He is a sweet boy and adjusting well to his new experiences in fostser care. He prior owner says that Jackson is a good boy! He is not a fan of small kids but I think would do fine with older kids who know to give him some space. He knows many tricks and is food motivated. He can do 360, Sit, Stay, Speak, Lay Down, Roll Over, Shake. He enjoys going outside, going on walks, playing tug with his rope, and fetch. He is best on a gentle lead leash - if he is on a regular leash he can lunge at other dogs on the trail (bark, not bite). He has hypothyroidism and needs twice daily supplements, and eye drops as needed for dry eyes. He also gets allergies. He can be standoffish towards men at first but warms up to women right away.
