About Honey N
Honey is a 4 year full blooded cocker spaniel. I rescued her 4 years ago. She is the sweetest dog and very much a velcro dog. I am her whole world and her mine. On February 4, 2026 she became paralyzed not quite sure what happened. Since becoming paralyzed Honey is unable to use her back legs she is in diapers where she urinate and defecates in her diapers. Honey weighs about 25 pounds. she may have gained some since she is inactive. She is not using a wheelchair. Honey has a history of seizures, but they are controlled with medicine. With the help of the veternarian and neurologist we finally found the right medication and dosage, and she has not had any seizures it will be a year in APRIL. Her seizures are very short only seconds no granmal seizures. Like i said previously Honey is extremely loving and loves to cuddle and will sit on your lap all day. She will be very protective of her special person. Around people and dogs she doesn't know, she may growl at first until she feels safe. Once she trusts someone she is very affectionate and loyal. This breaks my heart to have to do this but I am having a very hard time trying yo navigate this paralysis. I am overwhelmed with the daily care on my own. I don't think I can manage her special needs for the rest of her life. I love Honey with all my heart and only want her to have the best quality of life possible. I am hoping Rocky Mountain can help me and Honey. Having experience with paralyzed or special needs dog and could help give her the care she needs.
