Honey is a five-year-old pit bull terrier mix who melts hearts wherever she goes. This gentle girl is making solid progress with house and crate training. When left loose in the house, she's generally trustworthy, although she can't resist a rummage in the trash or a treat snatched off the counter if tempted. Honey is crazy about toys—she always picks one to carry outside when it's time to play or take a bathroom break. She lights up when you play fetch in a fenced yard; she can clear a four-foot fence though, so she'd do best with a six-foot fence or an adopter who enjoys outdoor activities and can ensure her safety. At home, Honey is all about comfort: she loves curling up on the couch or cuddling up at bedtime. She does well with another foster dog in her current home and responds readily to basic commands. On leash, she can be a bit of a puller, but a special harness helps a lot. Her compatibility with cats is unknown. Her adoption includes spay surgery, up to date vaccinations (including rabies), heartworm prevention, flea and tick control, dewormer, and a microchip.
