My foster says I'm one of the gentlest, kindest boys she's ever met - and honestly, all I really want is to be your best friend. At first, I can be a little shy. New people and new places make me a bit nervous. But if you give me a little patience and show me you're safe, I will love you with my whole entire heart. I'm a "my person" kind of guy - once I bond with you, I won't want to leave your side. I'll follow you from room to room just to keep you company. If you're on the couch? I'm there. In bed? Save me a spot. I'm basically a 60-ish pound lap dog. I'm crate trained, potty trained, leash trained, and house trained (yep - I don't destroy things!). I sleep in my crate at night and when you're away. I'm still learning that being alone is okay, so I might whimper a little if I can't see you - I just love my people that much. With time and consistency, I know I'll keep getting braver. Speaking of brave - I'm still exploring the world and figuring out how to "dog," but I try SO hard. I know "sit," "stay," and "come," and I'm super food motivated, so teaching me new things will be fun for both of us. I walk beautifully on a leash (no pulling!) and I could honestly walk all day. If there's a chance to explore outside, I'm in! I love to sunbathe, sniff around, and just enjoy the fresh air. A backyard would be amazing, but I can also do well in an apartment or townhome as long as I get my walks. I'm great with other dogs and would really benefit from having a confident doggy companion Having a friend helps me feel more secure and brings out my playful, happy side. I enjoy their company and would love a buddy to learn from and explore the world with. My ideal home? An active family (or person!) who will keep me moving and include me in their life. I'd love a dog sibling and a yard to play in - but more than anything, I need someone who will be patient and let me build trust at my own pace. Once I know you're my person, I will be the most loyal, loving, "in your pocket" boy you could ever ask for. I don't have a mean bone in my body. I just want to be loved on, explore the world with you, and make you proud. I promise I'll try my very best every single day. Will you be my forever person?
