About George
George is a striking, 2-year-old Treeing Walker Coonhound who landed at the shelter in Marietta, OH after being found out on Cats Creek Road. He came in with his likely brother, Cosmo, and while both wore collars, neither had tags or microchips. George is easy to spotāa tall, athletic frame, long tail, and that classic Coonhound face with big floppy ears. His coat is a short, tricolor blend of white, black, and brown. George is anything but shy; he has a deep, booming bark and isnāt afraid to get loud, especially around other dogs. Posing for photos comes naturallyāhe alternated between regal and totally goofy, particularly when a shelter cat caught his attention in the distance. Itās worth noting, George does not get along with cats. Heās powerful on a leash and not yet house trained, so heāll need someone who can handle a bit of strength and plenty of energy. George hasnāt been neutered yet but will be before adoption is finalized. Until then, heās available for foster-to-adopt. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
