About Copper

Copper is a striking 4-year-old male Treeing Walker Coonhound who made his way to us after being found wandering on Twin Bridges Road in Little Hocking, Ohio. His charming tricolor coat features beautiful patches of brown and black against a white base, complemented by lovely freckles on his muzzle and long, soft ears that simply invite affection. While Copper was initially unfamiliar with leash walking, he quickly showed his playful side during his outdoor photo shoot, dashing around joyfully. He’s a friendly dog, comfortable around children, and he seems to enjoy the company of other dogs too. Interestingly, he doesn’t pay much attention to cats, making him a versatile companion. Copper weighs around 39.2 lbs and could gain a few more to reach his ideal weight. Knowing that he was neutered recently and has his vaccinations up to date offers peace of mind to potential adopters. After some time with a foster family, where he thrived and enjoyed some playtime, he returned to our shelter looking for his forever home once again.
