About Cosmo

Cosmo is a striking 2-year-old male Treeing Walker Coonhound who landed at the shelter in Marietta, OH after being found alongside his likely brother, George. He's built as a classic hound—long-legged, long-tailed, with tri-color markings that look completely different from each side. His short, smooth coat is white on the left and a mix of black, tan, and white on the right, giving him a unique two-in-one look. Cosmo is the quieter of the pair, but still shares that unmistakable melodious Coonhound voice when he chooses. He isn't a candidate for a home with cats—he makes it known they're not his cup of tea. He does reasonably well on a leash, showing promise in his walking manners, and kept it together for a full round of outdoor photos. Cosmo isn’t housetrained yet, and will be neutered before he’s officially adopted. Approved adopters can foster-to-adopt him while he awaits his neuter surgery. Cosmo was born March 25th, which makes him an Aries—no surprise here; a dog with plenty of spirit and a head for adventure. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and lets get started.
