About Copper

Copper is a very loving Treeing Walking Coonhound who was found abandoned and badly underweight in a remote spot. After being rescued, a vet discovered he’d been shot multiple times with a pellet gun. Copper got the care he needed, was neutered, and his vaccinations are all up to date. He finished heartworm treatment and now has a clean bill of health, so he's full of energy and ready to enjoy life again. This friendly hound gets along well with most dogs and is happiest around people. He will chase cats, so a cat-free home is best. Copper is house trained and thrives with lots of space—he needs a secure fenced backyard where he can run and use that impressive hound nose of his. With all his excitement, he’s best suited for families with children over 10, since he could knock down smaller kids by accident. His adoption fee is sponsored thanks to a supporter. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
