A kind woman noticed Del and took him in temporarily alongside her own pups, giving him safety and compassion when he needed it most. Unfortunately, she couldn’t keep him, and when the shelter finally had space, animal control stepped in. Del is only about 3 years old, yet he was left to fend for himself—abandoned and left to face the streets alone. Despite everything, you can tell Del once knew what it meant to have a home. He appears to be house-trained, a quiet reminder that he was once loved before being discarded like so many others in this area. Del is a stunning 70-pound Husky/Shepherd mix with a gentle heart and soulful eyes. Even after being let down by humans, he hasn’t lost his trust or his love for people. In fact, Del wants nothing more than to belong—to have a person or family he can give his whole heart to. His love is unconditional and waiting for someone who will finally choose him forever. He’s wonderful on a leash, dog-friendly, and incredibly sweet. Del is a laid-back, chill guy who lives for belly rubs and quiet companionship.
