About Rufus
Meet Rufus, a three-year-old German shepherd mix who packs 70 pounds of pure energy and enthusiasm. He greets each day ready for action, craving the outdoors and all the adventures it holds. Rufus is friendly and thrives in the company of people, sometimes letting his excitement spill over, but it all comes from a genuine love of life and curiosity about the world. He’s still working on the basics like “come,” “sit,” and “down”—structure and patience will go a long way with him. For Rufus, the right adopter is someone active who can provide him with daily exercise, stimulating activities, and ongoing training. He needs more than just a backyard; he needs a partner for long walks, runs, or hikes. Though he will gladly share the sofa after a busy day, Rufus isn’t one to sit idle for long. Rufus is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and has successfully recovered from heartworm treatment. His adoption fee includes six months of heartworm prevention.
