Miss Muppet Little Miss Muppet came into our care thanks to our friends at GoodBoy Dog Recovery who responded to a call about an abandoned and severely matted dog who had been living under cars in a locked construction lot. Thanks to their expertise, Muppet was safely trapped and transported to our rescue, where she received an immediate medical evaluation and emergency grooming. Beyond the severe matting, which is incredibly painful as it pulls on the skin, there were concerns about additional underlying medical issues in this sweet girl. Once her fur was carefully removed (a huge thank you to Jen's Grooming for donating their time and services ), an obvious eye injury or issue was revealed, and the rest of her bloodwork and diagnostics are currently pending. All dogs require an adjustment period after adoption to decompress and acclimate to their new home, routine, housemates, and environment. Patience, consistency, and guidance are required to help them successfully transition and become a part of their new family!
