About Kahlua
Click apply to start the adoption process. Kahlua’s story is one of resilience, patience, and quiet progress. This beautiful calico came from a challenging past, where she had to constantly stay alert to survive. After rescue, Kahlua found shelter in a caring foster environment and soon gave birth to four lovely kittens. Throughout, she proved to be a fiercely devoted mother, always watchful and protective. Trust did not come easily to her, so she often observed her surroundings from a safe distance, even as her foster provided consistent care and kindness. Now that she’s at the All But Furgotten shelter, Kahlua is starting a fresh chapter in life. Being among other cats has sparked gentle but tangible changes in her behavior. She has begun to wander, explore, and quietly observe her feline neighbors. Even better, she’s started to accept gentle head scratches—still from afar with a pole, but it’s a promising step. Kahlua is still discovering that she is finally safe and that people can be patient and gentle. She will thrive in a home with an adopter who understands that building trust takes time and who can give her the space she needs as she continues to blossom at her own pace. For someone who values second chances and can provide a quiet home—especially with another cat as a companion to aid her progress—Kahlua could become a devoted and faithful friend. Her journey may take time, but the relationship you will forge with her will be uniquely rewarding. All adoptable cats from All But Furgotten are spayed or neutered, microchipped, FIV/FELV negative, up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, and flea treated. They are waiting with paws crossed!
