Sidney’s story is one of quiet survival. Found locked away in an attic with no food, no water, and no light, she came from truly deplorable conditions, an existence no animal should ever know. By the time she was rescued, she had learned to disappear into the shadows, hiding for safety because it was all she had ever known. At All But Furgotten, Sidney is still incredibly shy and fearful. Her sleek black fur blends so seamlessly into the dark corners and cubbies where she retreats that sometimes it’s as if she's invisible. She watches the world with wide, uncertain eyes, trying to understand this new place where humans speak softly, offer kindness, and expect nothing from her except to simply exist. But even in her fear, there is hope. Sidney may not be ready to step into the spotlight yet, but she is taking gentle steps toward believing that life can be safe… and even good.
