About Gunnar Fiv+
Meet Gunnar - a big, handsome brown tabby with bold swirls, crisp white boots, and a matching bib to complete his dapper look. Once a neighborhood tomcat, Gunnar made the brave decision to leave the outdoor life behind on a bitterly cold January night-and he hasn't looked back since. Now fully embracing indoor living, Gunnar has discovered the joy of cozy comforts and human affection. This low-energy, couch-loving gentleman is all about snuggles. He adores being held like a baby, getting neck rubs, and soaking up kisses on his head. True to his personality, Gunnar can be a little sassy and prefers affection on his own terms-but when he chooses you, it's something special. Still new to toys, Gunnar is curiously exploring track balls and has a particular fondness for stringy toys and catnip. He would do best in a calm home with older, pet-savvy kids and patient adopters who will let him continue to blossom. Gunnar has never met a cat or dog in rescue, so being a solo cat may be his preference but it's possible he would do ok with other resident pets with slow introductions. Gunnar is FIV positive but that doesn't slow him down! He can still safely live with other cats as long as they gets along with them and can live a normal, healthy life! We just suggest twice a year exams with your regular vet to ensure he stays in tip top shape. FIV can lower a cat's immune system so things like kitty colds can affect them more than a FIV negative cat. But overall there is not "extra" day to day care needed for a FIV positive kitty like Gunnar Will you be the home where he will find forever love? Gunnar is fixed, microchipped, FIV/FeLv negative, and up to date on vaccinations for his age.
